In 1890 the Franceschi family purchased the Il Poggione estate in Sant' Angelo in the province of Siena, Italy and began what would become one of the most respected producers of Tuscan wines. Here, with cool maritime breezes from the southwest the Sangiovese grape reaches its maximum ripeness giving fuller and richer wines than anywhere else in Tuscany. The results are truly exceptional. In 2013 Wine Advocate praised Il Poggione's Brunello di Montalcino wines saying they "remain among the very best values in cellar-worthy wines anywhere in the world".

Rosso di Montalcino, Italy
Sourced from to the youngest of the estate’s vineyards and a shorter time in the barrel compared to the Brunello, some have called this a “Baby Brunello." Produced entirely from Sangiovese grapes this wine is a great value.
A rare reserve edition of the famous Brunello di Montalcino, produced in limited quantities from the oldest vineyard on the Il Poggione estate in Tuscany. A wine with big character, great balance and elegance.
