Quick Overview

The Friuli Colli Orientali regions famous “ponca” soil is rich with calcium and limestone, which moderates temperatures and extends growing seasons. As a result the Terlato Pinot Grigio is full-bodied with expressive fruit and mineral character, perfect for food pairing.

For decades, the Terlato's have been known for their relentless pursuit of quality, introducing Pinot Grigio to the United States and establishing the varietal as a key category. Several years ago, they decided to elevate and reinvigorate the category by producing their own distinctive, high-quality Pinot Grigio in Italy.

After several years of blind tastings, the Terlato's chose highly regarded viticulturalists, Marco Simonit and Pierpaolo Sirch, to develop a Pinot Grigio from Friuil, the powerhouse appellation of Italian white wines. Estate-bottled for consistency, the fruit is secured from an important viticultural area where the grapes are grown on low-yield hillside vines and are hand-harvested. The result is a wine that is rich, aromatic, super clean, and full bodied with a good fruity core, lovely floral aromas, and delicate peach, almond, and green apple flavors. This carefully chosen, meticulously crafted Pinot Grigio is a pinnacle of excellence within the category, and redefines the varietal as a full, flavorful, aromatic wine for luxury consumers.

Light gold in color this wine has a complex and layered aroma with white peach, pear and spring flowers. Ripe peach, apricot, and pear with a mouthfilling texture and crisp mineral finish.

Simonit & Sirch, the Italian partners on this new Terlato Friuli Pinot Grigio, are catching the attention of press across Europe for their work in some of the world’s most iconic vineyards. Great wines start in the vineyard, and we couldn’t be more honored to be working with two of the world’s most renowned viticulturalists. Click the links below to read more about this dynamic duo:

No doubt this prestigious region in north east Italy shines when it comes to white wines; an envious position on the world wine stage. This pretty, crisp white certainly shows ripeness in its concentrated notes of pear, peach and grapefruit but it's stoney frame is a nod to the iconic mineral rich sloped terraced vineyards responsible for its pizazz and charm. The finish is clean, punctuated with an apricot accent.

A rich and lightly oily pinot grigio with sliced mango and light banana aromas and flavors. Dense and flavorful. It's a white that offers plenty of flavor and interest for the buck. Delicious finish. Drink now.
