Deep purple with a black hue. The bouquet shows concentrated aromas of plums, scorched earth, licorice, mint, and chocolate whilst exhibiting trademark McLaren Vale characters of coffee and mocha. Concentrated flavors of cola, plum and black currant along a vibrant and linear backbone. The mid palate shows terrific focus, the finish balanced by impeccable tannin and acid structure.

Two Hands got some 2007s out early, such as its Shiraz McLaren Vale Angels Share 2007 (92), a big, bold wine.

"Bright colour; loaded with sweet fruit and attractive spice from the oak-handling; rich and juicy
By Randy Buckner
Black cherries and mocha delineate this medium-bodied wine. Expressive fruit lingers effortlessly on the palate. It is easy to drink right now.

Filled to the brim with ripe, sweet fruit, sweet oak and soft tannins; a lot of skilled winemaking lies behind this wine.

Expressive, with black, chocolate notes and very soft tannins. Flavors roll on and on. Promises much for the future.

Medium-dark ruby; attractive, forward, peppery, smoky, dark cherry and blackberry fruit aroma with notes of vanilla, bacon fat, and toasty oak; full body; rich, dense, textured, cedary, very ripe blackberry fruit flavors with good depth and concentration and a layer of vanilla and a hint of mint; full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended.

A deep, ruby/purple color is accompanied by a fruit-filled wine with a gorgeously complex nose of lead pencil shavings, charcoal, blackberries and cassis. Medium- to full-bodied, with admirable purity, balance and the telltale opulence and voluptuous texture this estate's wines all seem to possess."

Some of Australia's finest wines are made from old grenache and shiraz vines in wine-growing areas such as the Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale that are clustered around Adelaide, South Australia's capital. It doesn't hurt that 2004 and especially 2005 might be the region's best vintages ever.
"Two hands is a negociant--it buys from small producers
By Robert M. Parker, Jr.
A deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of blackberries, black currants and cherries, opulent, succulent, medium-to-full-bodied flavors, sweet, well-integrated tannin, and loads of freshness as well as intensity. Some oak is noticeable, but it is kept well in the background."
