Cherry red, with violet-red tinges. Intense, dominated by black fruit aromas with a perfectly integrated hint of toasty vanilla and dried herbs. Black cherry fruit with round and sweet tannins and a smooth texture.

Aging: This complex and elegant wine spends 5 months in American oak barrels
 
Fermentation: After a short maceration period and malolactic fermentation the individual varietals are blended together.
 
Production Notes: This wine is made using Tempranillo – a native Spanish grape variety – Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A “soft, rounded” wine, it is aged for five months in American oak casks. “The Tempranillo gives it wonderful strawberry flavors while the French grapes give it structure and black fruit flavors.” The wine could be aged longer, says David, and classified as a Crianza but the Red Blend is intended for drinking young. “We try to emphasize fruit and approachability with this blend,” he explains.
