Nederburg’s premium wines are accommodated in The Winemasters ensemble, named to honour the cellar's long-established tradition of winemaking excellence. Distinctive tropical fruit, gooseberry and herbaceous flavors support a balanced palate with a pleasant lingering finish.
After fermentation, the wine was kept on the fine lees with minimal handling and careful protection against oxidation to promote intense aromas, distinctive varietal character as well as freshness, depth of flavor and richness of mouth feel.
The grapes were picked on taste, at optimum ripeness, and taken into the cellar in the cool, early hours of the morning. A limited period of cold skin maceration was allowed, before the free-run juice was inoculated with selected yeasts and cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks at 59°F.
