Appetizers with Resinous Herbs
Resinous herbs are tougher and stronger in flavor than fresh herbs. They include herbs like rosemary, oregano, sage and thyme and have very savory flavors which can overwhelm delicate wines. Pair these appetizers with full-bodied reds, like Cabernet Sauvignon or a Bordeaux Blend. Rosé is a good option as well.
