Cusumano winery is run by two brothers, who operate closely with their father, Francesco Cusumano, and expert winemaker, Mario Ronco. Together their artistic excellence and passion, embrace the diversity of the land in each wine, creating a bright explosion of modern, innovative, dynamic wines. Benuara, named after the small red flowers that blossom near the vineyard, is a rich red, fruit forward blend whose jam-filled profile pairs well with rich, grilled meats.
Aging
Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. 80% aged in stainless steel, 20% in 26 gallon barrels.
Fermentation
Hand picked. De-stemmed, cold maceration for 2 days at 45˚F. Traditional fermentation at 78˚-82˚F with frequent re-circulation and removal of the must.
