Overview

Dry Creek Red

Aging

Aged 18 months in French Oak, 30% new. The long ageing allows the two competing varietals to marry well and balance out one another, develop tannin, and build structure.

Fermentation

Each block is fermented separately then blended together before aging.

Winemaker

Bryan Parker

Wine Ratings

Wine Spectator9/30/2015

The wines from the Weinlaubenhof have long been in a class of their own. Practically no other sweet wines have reached such a high level of recognition worldwide and only a few have come close to the high ratings Kracher wines continuously receive. Around the world, Kracher has become the synonym for noble sweet wines of ultimate perfection. We recommend pairing this 2012 Grande Cuv?e Trockenbeerenauslese "Nouvelle Vague" No. 6 with pastries, pancakes with apricot jam and goose liver.
