A gentle, but notable tannic squeeze is apparent in the mouth but is then overtaken by the bright, ripe and rich black berry fruit and cocoa notes. It is focused, pure, poised and elegant with a supple, textured mouthfeel.
Aged for 18 to 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels, bottled unfiltered and then bottle aged for one year.
Each batch of grapes is cold soaked for a few days and then slowly brought up in temperature. Malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in the barrel.
