Located in the heart of a very old winegrowing village in the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy that dates back over a thousand years, Château de Marsannay produces this Marsannay "Les Longeroies" from a prime 2.5-acre parcel situated on the upper part of a slope with clay and Prémeaux limestone soils. Beautiful minerality and silky tannins with a nice finish.
Aged in oak barrels (33% new) and 1-2 year old aged oak for 16 – 18 months.
After destalking, the juice, skins and pulp are placed in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats for cold maceration. This is followed by cap-punching for about 20 days, which helps extract color, tannins and aromas.
