Overview
Galaxy White is a blend produced in partnership under Terlato Family Vineyards by winemakers Steve Fennell at Sanford Winery, Bryan Parker at Terlato Family Vineyards and Elizabeth Vianna at Chimney Rock. This intriguing blend was inspired by Tony Terlato and this vintage is the fifth vintage produced of this wine.
Aging
Wines were blended in the spring of 2017 at Chimney Rock and aged for three months as a blend in neutral oak barrels.
Fermentation
Fermentation for each variety happened separately: Chardonnay was whole cluster pressed and fermented in 25% New French Oak barrels/CY3079 yeast. Viognier was whole cluster pressed and fermented in neutral French Oak using native yeast. Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in neutral French Oak barrels utilizing D47 yeast. Both chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc were ml complete. Viognier is partial ml.
