This Rosso di Montalcino Selezione Leopoldo Franceschi was personally selected from the best Rosso di Montalcino barrels, usually reserved for guests of the winery. Only 4,000 bottles of this highly exclusive wine were produced and only 50 cases were sent to the United States.The wine is an intense ruby with aromas of red fruit, dark berries, underwood and sweet spices. It is rich and complex on the palate with velvety tannins and a persistent finish.
12 months in French oak barrels and barriques, followed by a minimum of 8 months bottle aging
12-15 days submerged cap fermentation at controlled temperatures
