The Brew Master commemorates Johann Graue, a brew master in his native Germany, who adapted his experience to pioneer viticulture and winemaking in South Africa. This wine is full-bodied, classic and complex with juicy dark-fruit flavors, savory notes and powerful soft ripe tannins.
The wine was matured for 18 months in 300-liter first-, second- and third-fill French oak.
Each grape variety was individually vinified. The fruit was fermented on the skins in a combination of open tank fermenters and stainless steel tanks. Skin contact continued after fermentation for richness of color and body.
