Yacca Block sits at the top of Menglers Hill and is prime example of the role sub-regionality plays in serious winemaking with this vineyard only a 25 minute drive from the Western Ranges of the Barossa Valley. Perched high up on the hillside of the Eden Valley, this beautifully positioned vineyard is surrounded by ancient Yaccas. The soil here is a mix of both quartz and ironstone and the vineyard's high altitude allows for slow ripening that leads to a very soft and elegant Shiraz.
12 months in 1-6 year with 20% new French Oak puncheons.
Fermented in five tonne stainless steel with 10 days on skin, pumped over 2-3 times daily.

Blackberry, Cherry, Floral, Tobacco
A bouquet bursting with cola, blackberry, lavender, dried cherry, fresh tobacco, leather, and freshly cut flowers.
A tight concentrated sway of fruit hits your tongue. Meaty and dense with the taste of fresh blackberry preserve, this wine emerges and uncoils slowing giving you an incredible dense and rich whiplash of drying tannins. Ends with a lovely lingering mouthfeel.
